The Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) today held its fifth work plan seminar, marking its transition from a young regulator to one that has made its mark locally and on the international stage. The theme for this year’s work plan seminar is ‘Pioneers. Stewards. Leaders.’

Indeed this has been a busy time for us. Just a checklist of the significant areas in our regulatory remit are these:

2013 marks CRA’s fifth year as a casino regulator. The two casinos have been in operation as part of the Integrated Resorts in Singapore for three years. CRA renewed the casino licences for Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa earlier this year, after a robust evaluation process.

(RWS) for implementing changes, between 29 March 2010 and 29 April 2010, to its casino surveillance system deviating from RWS’ approved surveillance plan without first obtaining CRA’s approval. |

| The Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore has issued a casino licence to Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. on 26 Apr 2010. The casino operator must ensure that it remains suitable to manage and operate a casino in accordance with Section 45 of the Casino Control Act. |
